WHY WE LOVE IT
- When Jennie and Kathrine Adam started selling home-baked cakes in the early 1900s, little did they know that their cottage business would become one of Britain’s most beloved purveyors of sweets and savouries. The sisters teamed up with the Arnett family and today, the fifth generation still runs Cartwright & Butler in coastal Yorkshire, where it all began. Made using an original recipe and the finest authentic ingredients, the company’s fruitcake is an elegant festive classic. The dense, buttery cake is studded with glacé cherries, golden sultanas and pecans. The traditional treat is highlighted with molasses and brandy, and crowned with fruit and nuts. Enjoy a slice with coffee, tea or sparkling wine.

RECEIVING INSTRUCTIONS
- Upon receipt, store unopened at room temperature for up to 12 months. Once opened, enjoy within 7 days.
We offer four types of delivery (Small Parcel, Small Standard, Standard, Deluxe) determined by the items in your order. An item's delivery type is displayed under the "Stock Status" information on each product page online. Delivery charges are calculated by destination and are charged per order. Multiple–product orders are charged according to the product with the highest delivery type. To view the overall cost of your delivery, please add all items to your shopping cart and ensure your delivery postcode is correct.
Customise your delivery! If you’d like to save on shipping, you may be able to change your Deluxe delivery to a lower priced Small Standard or Standard. Alternatively, you may also be able to upgrade your Small Standard or Standard delivery to experience our full Deluxe service. Either way, look for the option and your item/s eligibility at checkout.
Sometimes products may arrive separately but you will only be charged one delivery fee per order. Also, products delivered separately may be sent via the delivery type of that product rather than the overall order. Please provide a street address for delivery — we cannot ship to PO Boxes. NOTE: In some areas, we are unable to provide our full Deluxe service.
